No — under EU roaming rules your home plan works within the EU at no extra charge (within fair use). You need an eSIM outside the EU: Turkey, Egypt, the US, Asia, etc.
What is an eSIM and does my phone support it?
An eSIM is a digitally downloadable SIM — no physical card, you buy it before departure and activate with a QR code. Most mid-range and premium phones after 2019 support it (iPhone XS+, Samsung S20+).
How much cheaper is it than roaming?
